M.J. Bale Launch New ‘Tech-Tailoring’ Collection

High-Performance Tailoring for Gentlemen of Action
In keeping with the brand’s mission to provide men with high-performance garments, Australian-owned ‘gentlemen’s clothier’ M.J. Bale has launched a pioneering new ‘tech-tailoring’ collection. The collection, which includes water-repellent, crease-resistant & semi-stretch merino wool suits, as well as merino wool shirts, non-iron cotton shirts and an ‘uncrushable’ travel Macintosh, can be considered the sartorial equivalent to casual ‘activewear’ and a potential menswear game-changer.
Highlights include Acqua suits made from tropical weight Super 130s Merino wool fabric that has been woven in Biella, Italy. Acqua suit fabric is water-repellent and crease-resistant, keeping its wearer dry in drizzle and reducing the need to steam or press the suit after a day’s wear. Mooving suits, also woven in Biella, Italy, from 98% superfine virgin merino wool and 2% elastane, are crease-resistant and natural-stretch, giving suppleness and flexibility never experienced before in a suit.
Following on M.J. Bale’s ‘Coolest Suit in the World’ campaign last year, and with an objective to get merino wool ‘next-of-skin’ and under the woollen suit, M.J. Bale introduces merino wool shirts. The shirt’s woollen fabric has been woven in Italy and is breathable, moisture-wicking, wrinkle-free and machine washable. This development means the M.J. Bale man can now wear both a shirt and suit made from 100% Merino wool, enabling them to stay warm in winter, yet cool in summer.
An enemy of the humble iron are M.J. Bale’s collection of Dry’N’Fly shirts. Made from 100% cotton woven with a special technical structure, Dry’N’Fly shirts don’t require ironing – all the wearer has to do is wash then dry the shirt, then literally fly out the door in the morning. Last in the collection is M.J. Bale’s new uncrushable and water-repellent merino wool travel Macintosh. An ideal travel partner, the wearer can simply crumple up the Macintosh and stash it in his luggage, then pull it out later to find a crease-free garment.
